The prestigious Unsung Heroes Award has been presented by SALEF since 2004.

The Unsung Heroes Award recognizes our law enforcement personnel who go above and beyond the call of duty. Nominations are submitted by a peer who describes an incredible story of an extraordinary act of kindness—above and beyond the selfless service and protection our Police provide every day. The Honorees’ stories will make you laugh and cry, but it will fill your heart with hope to learn what deeply defines the men and women who wear the badge, and those who help keep our communities safe.
